Steve is a Managing Director and Founding Partner of Steward Partners Global Advisory. He has over 27 years of experience in the financial services industry as a Financial Advisor and Wealth Manager. As a trusted adviser for some of Washington’s leading professionals, small and mid-size business owners and principals of privately held businesses, Steve and his team help clients create, preserve and responsibly distribute their wealth.  Steve advises clients on all financial and family issues necessary to identify, coordinate and plan for the many wealth transitions that clients may experience such as the sale of a business or retirement and helps to manage the process for the long term financial confidence of the client and their families.

He graduated from the University of Colorado with a degree in Economics and has an MBA in Finance from The American University, Washington, DC. He is also a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ practitioner and Certified Investment Management Analyst (SM). Steve has been featured on TV and other media speaking on markets and investments.

Steve is a Bethesda native having lived there most of his life. He began his career in the construction industry as a contractor and a builder. He joined MetLife after completing his MBA eventually moving to Dean Witter in 1993 which later became Morgan Stanley Wealth Management. He is married and lives with his wife Peggy and has two children; Norris an Officer in Navy Special Operations, and Kit who is studying engineering at Georgia Tech. Steve is a Martial Arts expert with multiple black belts in different styles. In his spare time, Steve enjoys tennis, golf, martial arts, spending time with his family and the occasional remodeling project.
